    ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for a  detail oriented, motivated Contractor Program Security Officer in Suitland, MD.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    This role will require the ability to work independently and establish and maintain working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, customers and other government agencies as needed. This role will also be responsible for all document control functions and procedures for secure operation of all materials and media. Responsibilities include:

    • Establish and maintain all office and security documents in accordance with government requirements and provide weekly updates to the customer
    • Responsible for document control functions and develops procedures to ensure all materials and media contain proper classification markings, wrapping, cover sheets, handling and transmission of classified data is in accordance with security guidelines. Prepare documents for external distribution and processing. Prepare receipts and assist with wrapping as needed.
    • Conduct document control functions, develop and oversee receipt and dispatch requirements, organizing original and copies of documents, providing document holdings lists, managing and improving SIMS database, and assist in timely locating documents assigned to others/offices.
    • Establish and oversee specialized procedures for transmission of material by secure fax, courier and registered mail. Provide daily setup and operations of secure fax machines. Develop and maintain a log of outgoing/incoming material.
    • Manage Program Access Requests process and preparation of PARs and program indoctrination. Assist obtaining information and review packages for accuracy
    • Initiate, process, and maintain clearances through JPAS, scattered castles and other special access sites Prepare, transmit, and maintain visit certification letters
    • Develop, train and maintain personnel on facility standard operating procedures (SOP) and other appropriate guidelines
    • Coordinate with customer security representative for processing and maintaining employee clearances
    • Administer self-inspections for security audits and develop/follow through on  corrective action plans
    • Perform duties as the Top Secret Control Officer including executing a TS accountability program and submitting inventory reports annually
    • Prepare courier authorization documentation. Perform courier services as needed. Pick up mail as needed.
    • Oversee and assist functions assigned to the Facility Security Officer and Security Specialist
    • Assist with entering data into the physical security tracking database as needed
    • Continually maintain the Operation Security Plan

    Education and Experience Requirements

     

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • TS with SCI (SSBI within 4.5 years)
    • 2 - 4 years’ Contract Program Security Officer experience managing standard operating procedures and supporting Special Access Programs
    • 2 - 4 years’ of experience managing PAR process
    • Working knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders (NISPOM, JAFAN series, Govt Instructions, etc.). 
    • Working knowledge of JPAS and Scattered Castles 
    • Experience as Document Control or working knowledge of document control functions  
    • Working knowledge of Program Security Officer functions


    Desired Qualifications

    • Associates Degree 
    • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification desired; or willingness to attain within 12 months 
    • Formal Special Access Program training 
    • Experience with SIMS or Automated Data Control Systems for documents 

     

    Security Clearance

    • This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret /SCI Secret security clearance. Active clearance highly desired
