Overview

Delex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZENETEX, is seeking a qualified Special Security Representative to join a proactive, energetic and successful department. The Special Security Representative (SSR) Serve as the authoritative source on all matters relative to multiple security disciplines and issue guidance in the evaluation and analysis of security needs under DOD regulations 5105.21 series. The SSR coordinates and monitors sensitive aspects of the government agencies’ security programs, ensuring compliance with government security policies and procedures in support of the government Special Security Officer. This position will be located in Columbia, MD.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and monitors government SCI/special security policies and procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the security program
  • Protects classified government information monitors TS/SCI personnel security clearance and processes. Conducts initial and on-going security training and education briefings
  • Provides support for all security functions in accordance with the NISPOM, DCID’s, ICD’s and other applicable government security directives associated with SCI and other special security programs
  • Supports routine aspects of SCI security programs and supports SCI and Special Access Programs in compliance with the NISPOM, DCID’s, ICD’s and other applicable government security directives associated with SCI and other special security programs
  • Maintains a working relationship with all government agencies while building/managing SCIFs as well as filing necessary clearance paperwork for employees, candidates, and consultants
  • Uses JPAS and other special access sites, to track and maintain clearances
  • Maintains SCIF visitor control functions
  • Prepares visit authorization letters (VARs)
  • Executes security administrative procedures for new employee security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings
  • Investigates and reports security violations, and incident reports
  • Conducts SCIF self-inspections in preparation for security audits
  • Maintains a working relationship with each contract’s security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances/accesses
  • Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with government requirements
  • Support all SCI information and related facilities
  • Provides follow-up clearance status on processed clearance to manager for specific contracts.
  • Serve as an authoritative source on all matters relative to multiple security disciplines and issue guidance in the evaluation and analysis of security needs
  • Assist in the conduct of security surveys, inspections, and compliance reviews IAW applicable laws, regulations, Presidential Directives, EOs, interagency directives and DHS policies at the appropriate classification level
  • Support the security training and education program as needed
  • Support facility security including access control, visitor control, information and material control
  • Safeguard Government Property

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • A minimum of 7 years administrative security experience in Specially Access Program (SAP) and or Secure Compartmented Information (SCI) Federal government programs; Department of Defense/Navy preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications ability
  • Confidence to learn office procedures rapidly and once learned, conduct and manage office security operations with minimal oversight

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance.
