Overview

Provide software requirements analysis, design, coding implementation and testing support. Candidate must possess extensive experience with Visual Studio, Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, SQL Server, Analytical Graphics System Tool Kit, Microsoft Windows, CNIX Operating System. Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and 1553. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide software requirements analysis, design, coding implementation and testing support.

  • Candidate must possess extensive experience with Visual Studio, Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, SQL Server, Analytical Graphics System Tool Kit, Microsoft Windows, CNIX Operating System. Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and 1553. 
  • Provide support for Integrated Fire Control (IFC) and associated Link 16 series messages used for the Network Design requirements and the platfom1 specific network design requirements to support IFC are also required.
  • Run the Joint Network Design Aid and develop test networks to support flight testing, which requires a thorough knowledge of the platform specific timeslot and non-timeslot data loaded into the Multifunctional Information Distribution System, Volume Terminal (MIDS/LVT).
  • Develop 3D Visualization software using Analytical Graphics System Tool Kit (STK) to provide real time performance characteristics, which requires the ability to translate Link 16 IFC series messages.
  • Development of the Government provided Link 16 Network Performance Analyzer, a comprehensive software tool being used to support the test and development of systems supporting IFC.  The Performance Analyzer provides both real-time and post data analysis capabilities for the developmental and technical evaluation phases. The Tool supports live test events and the Virtual Warfare Center simulation lab.
  • Develop and utilize real time application software which monitors 1553 bus. DIS Entity State PDUs and DIS Signal PDUs to import and decode all the Link 16 messages and truth data, provide a 3D Common Operational Picture of a Link 16 network (supporting imagery and terrain), and a 3D Visualization providing performance characteristics for the Link 16 J series messages supporting IFC. The tool also supports post event data analysis. Replay capability, and post event import of binary Mission Data Extraction (MDX) files generated by the Link Host Simulator.
  • Significant (~50%) travel is required for this position.

Education and Experience Requirements

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, mathematics or related field from an accredited college or university.  Experience cannot be substituted for education.

 

Experience: 

Candidate must have ten (10) or more years of experience in network design and software development.

 

 

Desired Experience and Skills: 

 

Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Candidate should have experience working in a dynamicschedule constrained and complex security environment.

Must have a current TS/SCI clearance

Security Clearance
