Support the execution of advanced radar development research and development (R&D) programs.
Support the execution of advanced radar development research and development (R&D) programs. Work with project management and customers to develop new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements, develop project task descriptions, specifications, integrated roadmaps, and detailed schedules. Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation. Serve as the on-site liaison to support and coordinate technical reviews, data analysis and reports, and monitor and report team and contract status/execution. Analyze contractor proposals as permitted by law and regulation. Serve as the fire control radar systems project engineer for coordination of technical project status and task execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test and program execution process with the prime contractor. Develop, execute, monitor and report status on several assigned project task efforts including analysis of test data.
Serve as a fire control radar project engineer for project technical execution, coordination, risk management and communication of concerns and issues with program management and technical leadership. Coordinate functions between government and contractor project leads and engineers along with the technical subject matter experts and military leaders involved in program planning and execution.
Support and provide insight to determine the effectiveness of project execution and recommend modifications to task processes for future project activities or design reviews. Work with the Project management and Task Lead(s) to develop out year planning for future capabilities, and provide input to roadmaps for analysis, risk reduction, development and integration of advanced capabilities.
Occasional (5% to 10%) travel is required for this position.
Must have a current TS/SCI
The work location for this position is El Segundo, CA.
Required Experience and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education.
Candidate must have at least ten (10) years of experience in Fire Control Radar Systems Engineering, Avionics Systems engineering and requirements development processes.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Project or similar resource scheduling tools.
Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
Candidate should have experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.
Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained and complex security environment
Must have a current TS/SCI clearance
